facial mask

This is very funny. I'm really not a vain woman. Simplicity is what i live for. I can be 'kikay' at times but never vain enough to apply and use every beauty product known to womankind. I'm just your typical liggloss-powder girl. One fetish i have though is body lotion. I can't survive without it. :D I have eye shadows and a couple of lipsticks but I don't use them. I just collect them and use it when I'm bored! - but I'm always curious. Oftentimes, i see on TV women having facial masks. I once bought a thing cold cucumber facial mask but when I applied it to my face - it didn't look like what I expected. It was just transparent. Like a thin plastic which got stucked on my face! I bought another one a few weeks ago. When I opened the tube, i was excited, seemed like 'tis going to be a success this time. The cream's white not transparent. When I applied it to my face - woohooooo! I got the exact replica of what i see on TV! LOL!!!

i looked funny i know! murag ungu nga namudmud sa harina!! :P but i had fun ;)

Table 7

Last Saturday was the long over due 'date' courtesy of Gugs - thanks Gugs! We had been planning to check out Table 7 in Ayala but because we always report to the office mid-shift, we never get to do it on weekdays after office hours. Finally, we had the time last weekend. Guess we all needed a break...

lenny & tints (feeling koreana sa ilang posing :D)

me & gugs (bday celebrant ingon ang waiter hehe :P)

they served us breadsticks while waiting for our orders, cute noh? :)

grilled spareribs, gugs said it doesn't look like grilled though :P

my order - fusion of chicken & pork adobo, cute presentation in fairness :P

pork chop, lami siguro nahurot man ni lenny :D

baked chicken with pasta, tints said the pasta taste good :)

waahh jerky hands, dessert man ni nako, chocolate decadence

We got in the resto at 5:00 and finished eating around 7:00. We can't wait for the live band to play at 9:00 so we got out and strolled inside Ayala. Bought some burloloys and ek-eks. Cute akong belt, rocker ko tan-awon! hehehe!

Don't ask me to rate the food because i'm not good at it. I just eat ok? LOL! Bitaw dili pud super lami, dili pud bati. But the place is cozy and the waiters are nice. Nabitin si Gugs sa iyang dessert kay wala cream iyang pineapple crepe! hehe!

i drained my energy and time posting these pics huh! nag error na pud and i had to upload the pics on another site and link here... duhhh!

Sugbuak

Let me reiterate. Almost everyday if not often, I would pass by the Cebu Provincial Building or simply known to us as 'capitol' on my way to and from the office. For days now, it has that big banner strung up above tha main door. It read - NO TO SUGBUAK. Below it is a counter, manual not a matrix display or anything for that sort that increments each and every day. Today it has gone up to no less than 200,000. The curiosity in me dwells up. I should know what it is all about, afterall, I'm a Cebuana and should at least care about what's happening around me. (para mura ug true bah)

The word Sugbuak itself already connotes a meaning. Without having to search further, it's derived from the word Sugbu (old or bisaya name for Cebu) and Buak which meant to break or separate. Obviously, it's all about breaking Cebu! Ha? What?!?

Yes, there's an going move to divide Cebu into major provinces. They say Cebu will no longer be just Cebu. There will come Cebu del Sur, Cebu del Norte, etc. Let's just forebear technicalities here because i'm politically ignorant but that is the zest.

Why of all places Cebu?? Cebu is not that big with respect to land size. However, Cebu is one of the key cities of the Philippines with major economic zones. Laymen say that it's just about greed of power. Some politicians can no longer run for public office so they'll create 'places' where they could. So neat huh! I understand though that this is not an easy process. It has to go through a plebiscite.

I'm wondering, some time from now, will I then be not living in Cebu City anymore? So my address would be no longer Cebu but Cebu ek-ek whatever!

Goodness gracious great ball of fire!?!? Don't 'they' have other important matters to attend to?? Just asking...

i'm sooo happy, i have the mp3s of Full House songs already... yay nanglingbawt akong balhibo minaw hehehe! a big thanks to Aneshka for sending...mabaw ra gyud kaau ko ug kalipay :)

todo na toh!

It has been a very boring weekend... as in boring with a capital B.

Last friday night, Lenny, Gugs and I went to Ayala just so to break the monontonous house-office-house routine. Well, we're only left with coffee shops open. Kamingaw! Asa naman ang mga taw? Asa na kaha ang mga tambayan sa mga taw sa? Tsk wala nami kabalo sa latest sa cebu hehe... Glorie texted me on Saturday night, she herself was bored to death and wanted to go out. I had to say no, I needed to finish some tasks. Kalaay na lang gyud!

Geezz can't believe myself but I did buy the Star Studio magazine september edition. At any rate I could have borrowed Macelle's copy. In fact, I'm really not that a spender for magazines, celebrity magazine per se. I don't even read the articles written. I would only view the pics and look at the stars' outfits. Why did i buy the mag then?

i can't resist Lee Dong Wook! lol! :D

Sulit ra akong palit kay naa sa centerfold si Sam Milby and Zanjoe Marudo -
two of Philippines 'hottest' stars (ingon sila) :P

I wonder if anyone is familiar or have watched the movie High School Musical? It's a nice movie from WaltDisney, lots of dances.

i'm still very bored even up to this very moment... tsk!

getting what you want

By Steve Brown, Overcoming Setbacks

"I saw another senseless thing under the sun: a man alone, without son or brother, working endlessly, his greed never satisfied with wealth ' For whom do I work and deprive myself of pleasure?' This, too, is nonsense and mistaken investment." (Ecclesiastes 4:7-8)

GETTING WHAT YOU WANT

I was in a bookstore the other day and a clerk came up to me and said, "Can I help you?"

"I don't know what I want," I answered. "But when I find it, I'll let you know."

Most of us are like that. We're really not sure what we want. And even if we stumbled onto what we thought it was, we would probably find out that it wasn't what we wanted anyway.

The most unhappy person in the world is not someone who didn't get what he or she wanted. The most unhappy person is the one who got what he or she wanted and then found out that it wasn't as wonderful as expected. The secret of a happy life is not to get what you want but to live with what you've got. Most of us spend our lives concentrating on what we don't have instead of thanking God for what we do have . Then we wake up, our life is over, and we missed the beauty of the present. You think about that.

What do you really want out of life? In your pursuit of it, are you missing anything along the way? Could you even be missing greater joys? Don' treat these questions flippantly. Your answers will reveal a lot about what you hold most dear, and what your answers don't include may tell you what you're missing in the process.

Is this pursuit really worth the process?

timeline and gerard butler :)

gerard butler

Since I watched the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious, I had then become a certified Paul Walker fan. Very timely because the movie 2 Fast was featured in Universal Studios when I got there. Unfortunately, it was only Tyrese whom I saw. Well, not that bad either. (ako gihikap ang muscles ni tyrese, solid kaau, tsansing kaau ko! hehe)

I knew Walker starred in the movie Timeline but i just didn't have the zeal to watch it when shown in the cinemas. I don't watch movies alone by the way so I don't get to watch any movie if nobody would go and watch with me. I finally had a glimpse of Timeline when my friend Splat let me borrow his dvd copy. I thought the movie was boring and i didn't like Paul's hairdo in this movie! yay! If not for Splat reminding me that he'd already get the dvd from me, I would not have remembered that I have to watch it. Geezzzz! I found a new love in the person of Gerard Butler! LOL! ;) I swear, I wasn't watching Walker in the movie but i had my eyes glued to Butler! (nawani sa paul walker! hehe!) I've only heard of Butler's name before but never get to watch any of his movies. (maau na lang nakita ko timeline, nahimamat nako si butler! hehe! salamat kang splat!) I even thought he should be the main star of Timeline not Walker huh! Anyways, the movie was good, well at least for me. I always love movies with lords, kings, wars and all that. :)

o di ba? wafo? :P

angayan sya curly hair sa? :D

P.S. Mga guapo sa atong hisgutan ron aron malingaw tah :P

my most coveted koreanovelas

My Girl's Lee Dong Wook - the "My Boy" of my dreams! hehehe! :P

This is a long over due post...

Last August 12 - i received the dvd copy of the Koreanovelas i so long to have. A big thanks to my dearest friend Aneshka she finally sent it out to me. (Guapaha jud nimo Clara oi! :P, utangan pa raba ko nimo! hehe :D)

I'm sooo happy, insanely happy (?) because I can finally watch them all the time and anytime I want! :)

(upper left-bottom right): a love to kill - my girl - princess lulu - lovers in paris - full house

I came in to the office earlier than usual. I would not want to miss the package should the carrier needed my signature. I was fervently praying then that all the cds will play in my player. The last My Girl copy i had wont. My heart sunk when I realized that the dub's in Chinese! Sure, I don't understand either language but I'm sorry, I'd prefer Korean dialogue over Chinese. They seem to sound a little like our dialect. Good thing, dubbing can be changed to Korean. I was relieved! :P I haven't finished Princess Lulu and A Love To Kill yet. Waahhh! I can't tolerate the subtitles, so far far from the actual scenes, so confusing. I would just end up with a headache after watching an episode...

I'm looking forward to grab a copy of Save The Last Dance, Green Rose and Forbidden Love. :)

Ahahaha! I got this link from Aneshka. I got busy looking for my pics then. LOL! You may want to try this for yourselves. It's just for fun! :P

It turned out that I really have an Asian looks :) For most of the pics i tried on, I always "look like" Joey Yung ( i dont know her), Shu Qi (star of So Close) and Zhang Ziyi (Memoirs of a Geisha) and Brenda Song (dont know her too). Puede tingali ko pang koreanovela ay! hehehe!

O diba, look at top 2 look alike! mga wafa noh? :)

it's Joey Yung again

I also look like Q Orianka Kilcher in most of the results (# 1 in this pic). You see, Yung and Qi is still in the list. Oi its Jessica Alba on the 8th! LOL!

Hmmnn you noticed? Qi is still there and Rachel Weiz appeared twice already. And I do have male look alikes waaahhh! hehe!

Mwahahaha! its Jessica Alba again... and who's that? Eva Longoria!

From Pinoy artists, it turned out that I look like Rachelle Ann Go (payts, naa diay ko chance ni fafah Christian Bautista hehe)

I find this very funny - I look like Jamie Lyn Spears (appeared 3 times); I look like Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum and Angelina Jolie (buds niguwa jud si Jolie lol!). Julia Roberts and Anne Hathaway appeared twice! I even have look alikes with Julia Roberts, Drew Barrymore, Bridget Moynahan, Debrah Messing and Penelope Cruz. Nyahaha!! Asa ka mangahoy anah? :D

Da Vinci

not the code... but the pizza.

The SWV Cutties went out last Monday (Aug 28) for a little gathering at The Vinci Pizza in Marina Mall in LLC. Haayy at least we now have 3 options - MBs, JCAs and DaVinci! As you may know, there's not much place to hang out around here in LLC. There are a couple of restos in Marina Mall but they close as early as 9:00pm. It's good to be with the group once again...

Help Guimaras

Another tragedy has struck our country, the Philippines. An oil tanker that sank off Guimaras island province spilled 2 million litters of oil. (Please google for news and updates.)
