When I was still a kid, i have always loved Mathematics. I didn't have much problems then except for Trigonometry in highschool (ambot lang dili gyud ko kasabot sa sine functions), I only had a clearer understanding of it during college. But i still sucked in electromagnetics (bisan unsaon nako tuwad tuali sa akong kamot, dili gyud ko kasabot sa xyz plane!) Toinks!

I got this from a forwarded mail and found it really cute and funny! :D

MV Doulos

I was very very lazy last weekend. I only wanted to just stay put and think nothing and glared the tv. One of those moments when I'm at my laziest disposition. Well, must have been because I was kind of busy last week. On Sunday, I was prompted to go out, scout for something to wear on my friend's wedding come first week of February. I met another friend Angie in Ayala. Roamed around and found nothing interesting. We went to SM thereafter, yet I found nothing. Nothing defined as something that I like to wear. Hehe. Angie found a skirt but none available that suits her fit. We just decided to try again looking next weekend. So we went to Pier 1 instead and checked out MV Doulos. The queue of people waiting to get in the ship was like a maze- too many people. Anyhow, we managed to get inside and swamped ourselves with the plenty of observers and buyers. I was hoping to try the coffee they advertised in the flyer but I think it's not yet open? I don't know or maybe we just missed it out. We didn't stay long though. We went our way back to SM since we were already hungry. Coincidently, Glorie was in SM too...

Not too eventful weekend but it helped that I wasn't just at home sitting and sleeping and feeding my babyfats.(bilbil in short!) Nyehehe!

six years...

Exactly 6 years ago, something great happened...

Someone: I like you a lot, will you be my girlfriend?
Me: Yes! I'd be happy to be your girlfriend. (ayiii!)

--> Hmnnn... oopppss but not quite.

Someone: Will you marry me?
Me: Yes! Of course, yes! (ayiiii!)

--> You gotta be in delirium! That aint happened! Seriously, here's what really happened...

Someone: Welcome to **** Corporation!
Me: Yehey! Yehey! (i got a job! i got a job!!)

Back then, it was great, now i think otherwise... yet, i'm thankful.

6 years... and counting? i'll never know... :)

The Sinulog Festival 2007 concluded yesterday - mardigra, fireworks, street concerts. I just stayed at home and watched it on tv. I know i'm so lousy! :P Last year, i was at Ayala watched some concerts. Surprisingly, Ayala's very quiet on this year's sinulog festivities...

pics from last december

Yah i know, my entries recently are very late when compared to the actual dates when things that i wrote happened. Ok, this will be my last entry about last year. I just don't have the time to write the soonest. :P

I've already mentioned last year (hehe) that i was going to attend two weddings in December last year (hehe again). So here are some moments captured. The church pics, entourage and all other essential photos will not be posted here. I reserved the right of the couples to showcase those pics in their own online albums/sites. :)

Wedding1
December 20. Joanna & Raymond. San Isidro Church in Talamban. Reception @ Tabur Hills Talamban. Jo & Moi are both classmates in college. Momoi graduated Magna Cum Laude in our batch. (gifted child!) He's in Malaysia currently. Joanna will follow as his dependent.

Princess Hours

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Hyo- rin, Lee Shin, Chae-gyeong, Yul

Oh well, after Kim Sam Soon, I'm now hooked with the Koreanovela, Princess Hours. Geezz i'm in love with the Prince! :P It's more like of a teen bop novela but I'm soo much into it. I finally got my copy! Too bad, the english subtitle on the last episodes isn't quite ok. I so wanted to know what the characters are saying but the subtitle just went off. Arrggh! I will have to buy another one. Last Christmas, copies are just everywhere in stands but when it was shown on Philippine TV. What do you know, all copies are sold out and prices had been marked up! It is a hit on primetime tv right now.

Here's the synopsis:
Chae-gyeong (Janelle) is an ordinary art high school student. One day, she hears totally unexpected news that, based on her grandfather’s will, she must marry the unemotional Crown Prince Lee Shin (Gian) who attends the same high school. Free-spirited Chae-gyeong resists the proposal, but reluctantly marries him to help her debt-ridden family. As she struggles to adapt herself to the proper manners and royal duties of palace life and to her disagreeable husband, Lee Shin’s sentimental cousin and second-in-line to the throne Yul (Troy) steps into her life. She feels like she can rely on Yul to help her, but can’t help worrying about her haughty, cold-hearted husband.

To help bridge this gap, the senior members of the royal family take some special measures to get them to spend the night together. Along the way, you will encounter numerous delightful episodes among the cute and lively Chae-gyeong, the cold heartthrob Lee Shin, the handsome, down-to-earth Yul, the perfect ballerina Hyo- rin (Monique) who just can’t get over Lee Shin, and all the other members of the royal family. Will the Crowned Princess, Chae-gyeong be up to the challenges of royal life? Come and join us as these wonderful tales of the crown princess unfold.

Meet the characters:
I will just use their names when dubbed in Tagalog as shown on Channel 3.

Princess & Prince in school uniform

Yes, hindi masyadong kaguapohan itong si Prinsipe Gian at payatot pa nga, kaso lang, he has that aura. Itong si second in line Prinsipe Troy eh mas guapo sana but he's not so much of my type. Mas feel man gyud nako ang mga malditohon heheh! :P Janelle's cute and funny. Opposite sila ni Gian. Moniques's very lovely, in fact she's very beautiful. Pero bakit kasi dinedma nya ang wedding proposal ni Prince, ayun, sya na ang hahabol-habol. Basta, whatever, I love Gian! hehehe!!! :D

The novela has a nice soundtrack too, both the Korean and Filipino soundtracks.

I got the above pics and more about this lovable novela on this site.

expectations...

My friend Ailyn once wrote these lines:

Everyday, many unexpected truth will come to your way that are very far from your expectations.

Surprised? Yes.

Shocked? Yes.

Disappointed? Don't be.

It's the truth and you have nothing to do to change it. Just give some time to absorb it to your senses and live life flexibly. No one will ever live up to your expectations.

Next time, expect less.

--

As for my case, I wasn't suprised, in fact i was kind of expecting it. However, i didn't realize it would be this quite disappointing. Ahh those sweet words, indeed they are just mere toss of adjectives. For a moment, you get to be blown away. Then you realize, it just at is but empty words.

Sure I'll allow it to settle in my senses... then expect less, next time.

For the mean time, allow me to be enwrapped in those sweet words. Because once upon a time, i thought those sweet words were for real.

'Till then...

taoist temple revisited

It's been like what? 15 years or more? - since the last time i went to Taoist Temple - one of Cebu's few tourist spots! heheh! Well, of course not to mention the beatiful beaches. Geezz i'm that old! I still can exactly remember what i wore in my last picture then - a white shirt and a mint green pedal shorts. I was sporting a short/boy's cut hairdo. Though i can't remember how we get there and what's the occassion and who i was with? But most probably, i must be with my sisters and cousins. I can't seem to find the picture now for a comparison.

After Glorie and I met with Genalyn and company last month, Glorie had to tour around her other friend around Cebu. I accompanied them hoping i could be of help but apparently Glorie and I both sucked being the tour guides. We knew nothing which places to go to! LOL!

Good thing, i had the chance to check out Taoist Temple again. The Gaisano's had made some improvements on the property. It's more spacious too. The nearby temple, Heavenly Temple, brought back childhood memories. Used to go there with elementary classmates just trecking the mountains from Guadalupe Shrine to Lahug.
